I can’t believe it’s been three whole years since I launched mirrorball. Honestly, I’ve been so caught up in life that I barely noticed. But there’s been this inexplicable urge to write a blog since last weekend, and this morning, I finally decided to act on it. Maybe, deep down, I knew today was mirrorball’s anniversary. So, you can imagine my joy when I saw that notification from WordPress.
It was in 2021 when I finally decided to stop procrastinating and turn my little dream into reality. It wasn’t born out of some grand plan; it was simply born out of a desire to create a space where I could freely express myself— pour out my thoughts, musings, and well, some of the little stories I create in my head. Initially, mirrorball was just supposed to be a place where I could keep my creative juices flowing, but this tiny corner of the internet had become so much more than just a creative outlet. It became a huge source of solace. Whether I was grappling with life’s highs and lows or simply looking for a bit of inspiration, I could always count on this blog lift my spirits and soothe my soul. Nux!
Reflecting on the past three years fills me with gratitude. To all you amazing folks who’ve been with me—whether you stumbled upon this blog and enjoyed a post or two, subscribed faithfully, or are one of my friends just dropping by— THANK YOU. Your support, enthusiasm, and endless encouragement have been the wind beneath mirrorball’s wings (or, you know, the electricity keeping its servers running).
I was planning to write more for this post but I’m currently sitting in a noisy café, with people from across my table playing Dungeons & Dragons. So, I’ll wrap it up here.
If I finally have all the time I would need, I will give mirrorball a makeover. Just thinking about it gets me excited! I hope you’ll stick around for the ride.
